Ms. Rigby

My mom came down to visit for the 4th of July and we had the opportunity to walk to my favorite farmer’s market in the area: the Winter Park Farmer’s Market.  My mom got fresh, organic vanilla beans from Mannix Vanilla to enhance her kahlua recipe andRigby got a new toy!

Little Miss Rigby celebrated 4 months old on June 22nd.  She has entered puppy school and is not the naughty kid (thank goodness!) although she may win the title of class clown by the end of this 8 weeks.  Anywho, she is entering the stage of finding our shoes an interesting chew toy and is dying to jump in our bed.

This is a very pet-friendly farmer’s market, but Rigby’s puppy classes aren’t that advanced yet.   The vendor at the market has  a great variety of designer collars, leashes, and little outfits – but what caught our eye were the rubber-like toys featured on a table.  They look indestructable, perfect for 4 month old puppy teeth. Turns out, these toys are eco-friendly, made in Bozeman, Montana by West Paw Design, and have a replacement gurantee if somehow your puppy gets through the durable Zogoflex material.
I too was curious about Zogoflex, lucky for us, West Paw Design has a very educational website.  Zogoflex is a recyclable material that creates virtually no waste in the manufacturing process.  Also, Zogoflex does not contain any lead, cadmium, mercury, latex, natural rubber, phthalates, hormones, Bisphenol A, or asbestos -  so I know Rigby won’t ingest any of those things while she is playing with her Huck.
The Huck resembles a ball, but has the ability to bounce in several directions – pretty unpredictable directions might I add (I broke a vase in our house already, whoopsy).  It exercises her brain while exercising her body.  All toys are buoyant as well in case you have a swimmer on your hands, and they are dishwasher safe to get all the yuck off there (only put in fully loaded dishwasher to maintain eco-friendliness).
All in all, we had a great day at the Farmer’s Market and we have endless hours of playtime with Rigby’s new eco-friendly, durable, and mentally stimulating toy!
