Hi all,

Today I would like us to take a minute to think of our neighbors to the south.  Millions have been devastated by the catastrophic earthquake that hit Port-Au-Prince, Haiti.

Unfortunately, I work with a population of people whose homes and families are located in Haiti.  It was an agonizing  day hearing stories of families who can’t confirm if their loved ones are alive and whose homes have been turned to rubble.

In this shade of darkness, I am thankful we can find some peace in the way people and organizations are rallying to collect much needed items in this emergency effort.

In my experience thus far, families are perplexed about how to help their kin located in Haiti because there is currently extremely limited communication to the island.  Further, the airport has been destroyed as well as the hospital.  If you are interested in assisting these folks, the best way would be to contact resources that have the means to bring supplies by water.

Here are some organizations you can contact in order to help the people of Haiti:

As we have said before, being green isn’t about only looking out for our Earth, it is also about looking out for one another.  After all, it is our fellow man who will help the Earth prosper.  Sending you all the best energies and the gratitude for taking care of each other.
