As most of you know, a few friends and I made the trip to Manchester, Tennessee last Thursday to experience the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. We saw a ton of awesome bands, met some cool people, and of course got to see first-hand the eco-friendly strides this festival brought to over 70,000 folks.
Above is a slideshow of our green venture including:
- A.M. Yoga in the Tennessee sun
- The Clean Vibes trading tent – here festival goers could turn in their recyclables for some coveted prizes in the sun, i.e. sunscreen, water bottles, and hair conditioner
- An entire section of the grounds dedicated to great causes, including a postcard campaign to encourage legistlation to pass HR 3225 in support of community gardens – and we got to try a new Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor
Check out this informational video from Aaron, a Green Avatar that was nice enough to share the purpose of the Bonnaroo Postcard Campaign:
Even though we don’t have ice cream to giveaway, if you are interested in helping this cause, send us an email at GreenThinkingGTB@gmail.com or via Twitter @GreenThinking with your name & state & we will cover the postage for your support of Community Gardens bill HR 3225.
