The 40th Earth day is fast approaching, what are you going to do to celebrate?

Need to find an event in your area?  Visit EarthDay.org to find something that piques your interest!

I just took a look and found all these worldwide events!

Live in Australia?  Why not attend an Algae identification workshop?

Belgium?  Celebrate at their Shamanic Jam Session.

What about the States?

Try the Climate Rally in Washington D.C.  This party in our capital is focused on bringing a comprehensive climate legislation to pass in Congress. Plus, they are going to bring in some great musical features for this monumental celebration:

Sting, John Legend, The Roots,  Joss Stone, and many more!

If you can’t make it to D.C. next weekend, there are tons of communities that plan local clean-ups, tree planting ceremonies, pet adoptions and other events that honor our Earth.

As for me, I will be attending the Central Florida Earth Day at Orlando’s very beautiful Lake Eola. I am really looking forward to the activities.  There is going to be yoga classes, animal rescues, and the Simple Living Institute will be there to share about vermicompsting, rain barrels, and solar power.

Then, later that afternoon, I will be walking to find a cure for Crohn’s & Colitis!  A fun-filled day for sure.

I am sure I will learn loads, so keep checking back for the update.  Do you have something planned?  Let us know!  We want to share you Earth Day plans with all GTB readers!
