Bike to Work Day

May 15th is Bike to Work Day. If you’ve got a bike, hop on and join people all across the U.S. to cut down on air pollutants by biking instead of driving. Body + Soul Magazine says people save an average of 60 pounds of air pollutants each trip to/from work.
For me, I don’t have a bicycle, so I am planning to offer to pick up one of my coworkers on my way in. Her house is on my way, so I want to do my part with a carpool. Hey, it’s better than nothing!
Carpooling may be another option for those of you who work in an unsafe part of town.
I’m also bringing more home-cooked meals for my lunches. I’ll save gas by not running out for food, and I can take a walk around my work building after I eat.
Are you planning on biking to work on May 15th?
